Wirestock allows users to create and monetize themes from AI generated images.
Wirestock, one of the largest platforms for creators to create, share, and monetize content, has rolled out a brand new feature called Wirestock Themes. This allows users to make money from their AI-generated or self-captured images in a whole new way.
In this article, I will be sharing a step-by-step guide on how to create Wirestock Themes and help you get started with this new money-making opportunity.
Wirestock Themes are like Lightroom presets for AI images. Creators can make a theme using 10 or more images with a consistent style. Creators can build a theme using 10 or more images with a consistent style. The theme then sets the color, subject, and mood when generating images in Wirestock’s AI image generator.
Using a tailored theme produces more unique and nuanced results than a generic AI image generator. This represents a real breakthrough in putting creators’ personal touches on AI art.
“With Wirestock Themes, we’re enabling our users to bring their personal touch to AI art. It’s about providing real tools for artists to see their styles come to life in new ways and to create new opportunities to be recognized and rewarded.“ — Mikayel Khachatryan, CEO of Wirestock
When an artist shares new themes like portrait photos or designs, this becomes a distinct layer on top of Wirestock’s AI image generator based on Stability AI’s SDXL model.
Other users can then leverage the artist’s themes to generate new AI images. And the original creator earns money each time someone uses their theme. For artists with thousands of AI images, this could become a lucrative income stream.
Here are the five simple steps:
Let me explain how each step works:
Note: You can skip this step if you already have a set of at least 10 photographs with a consistent style or aesthetic.
Under the AI tools menu, click on the “AI image generator” to create at least 10 sample images. Here’s an example image prompt.
Prompt: teenage face made of newspaper, in tabloid art style
Generate as many images as you like and click on the “download” button to save them. When generating images, you can play around with the optional settings on the left panel to adjust how the results look.
Go to the themes page and click on the “Create a new theme” button. Add your images either from your Wirestock portfolio or upload new ones.
Note: Do not upload copyrighted materials to avoid getting rejected. Also, aim to upload at least 30 images to ensure a robust dataset for training.
Once images are uploaded, name your theme and make it public. Click “Create” to start training.
The processing time depends on the number and quality of the images you upload. This step usually takes only a couple of minutes to complete. Check the progress in the “My themes” tab under the Themes page.
You will receive an email notification like this, whether your theme is approved or rejected.
There will also be a notification on the upper right corner of the dashboard when the new theme is ready.
Awesome! Now you can start using the theme to create new images in a specific style.
You can still adjust the visibility of your theme even after it’s published by modifying the theme’s settings in the Edit page.
This is also the page where you can add details, categories, and tags to your theme. Remember that only public themes are eligible to earn royalties.
Simply connect your PayPal or Payoneer account on the Payout Details page to start collecting payouts.
It’s incredibly easy. All the earnings can be monitored in the Dashboard tab.
The potential earnings depend on the amount in Wirestock’s Creator Fund. Creators are compensated monthly based on the level of engagement their theme receives from subscribers and the total size of the fund.
The fund’s size is linked to Wirestock’s subscription revenues and the total usage of themes by Premium members.
Basic access is free. But you need a premium plan to monetize themes.
You can also pay annually for up to 40% off.
Beyond image generation and themes, Wirestock also offers:
Here’s an example challenge with a cash prize.
Honestly, this is a huge opportunity if you’re someone who regularly generates AI images. The example above only has 21 submissions, and the winner is set to earn $50. How cool is that?
As an AI enthusiast, I am happy to see another platform that offers an easy and unique way of monetizing AI images. Aside from making money from the themes, you can also make money by selling AI images or referrals.
It’s a really cool platform that I am likely to use more often. Check out the FAQ section of their website to learn more about their offers.
I also encourage you to join their Discord community to stay in the loop with their updates and announcements.
