Here are five ways to make money with your AI images.
With the advent of artificial intelligence, anyone can now make unique artworks in seconds and sell them for money. The NFT hype is over, and we’re moving on to the next big thing: AI-generated images.
How can you monetize these images?
In this article, I’m going to show you five income streams that leverage these new technologies. Let’s talk about them.
This new niche is popular among tech fans and artists because it gives them a lot of room to be creative.
Blogging platforms like Medium make it easy to share what you learn and earn from all the reads of your articles once you become eligible for the Medium Partner Program.
Where else to publish?
How much is the potential income?
In my case, I earn north of $2K/month writing for Medium alone. But I’m now working to launch my blog website. It should be up and running in a couple of weeks.
Have you heard about PromptBase?
It is a new marketplace where you can buy and sell many sorts of AI image generator prompts. Right now, they support Dall-E2, MidJourney, and Stable Diffusion.
You can sell your prompts for between $1.99 and $4.99, from which PromptBase takes a 20% portion of the price.
Most AI generators allow commercial rights to the output images. There are some restrictions, of course, but generally, you can put them up for sale.
Starting today, users get full usage rights to commercialize the images they create with DALL·E, including the right to reprint, sell, and merchandise. This includes images they generated during the research preview. — OpenAI
Where to sell prints?
A few weeks ago, I tried selling prints on Redbubble and made a glorious $3.96 from one sale out of 43 designs I uploaded.
Was it worth it?
No. It took me hours to cherry-pick designs from hundreds of generated variations. Not to mention the time it took me to upload, tag, and label each of them on Redbubble.
The four bucks in revenue weren’t worth my effort, so I stopped doing it. I will probably get back to selling prints once I find a way to automate uploading content.
Another way to make money from your AI-generated graphics is to sell them as stock images.
Where to publish?
There’s one problem, though. Some stock photo hosting websites like Getty and Shutterstock have recently limited the uploads of AI-generated content.
If you're someone who feels more confident creating videos rather than writing or selling, you can make money by using an explainer video maker to produce high-quality explainer or reaction videos for YouTube.

You can also create courses or workshops to teach AI art generation and publish them on platforms like Patreon or Udemy.
Making money with AI models will be a booming industry in the near future.
Of course, there will always be a market for traditional art, but as AI technology continues to improve, it’s likely that more and more people will be drawn to the unique and often bizarre creations that can only be made by machines.
So if you’re thinking about getting into the art business, it might be worth your while to start learning about how to create them with AI. Get started today and start generating some income.
