Blackforest Lab's Flux image models are now accessible on Creative Fabrica's Flow AI image generator tool for free.
The Flux family of image models from Blackforest Labs is causing quite a stir in the AI community. Though these models have only been publicly available for a few weeks, they’ve managed to outshine Stable Diffusion 3 and even put Midjourney at risk of being dethroned as the best AI image generator.
But what exactly is Flux, and why is its integration with various AI platforms such a big deal?
Flux is a suite of text-to-image models that define a new state-of-the-art (SOTA) in image detail, prompt adherence, style diversity, and scene complexity for text-to-image synthesis.
In case you didn’t know it yet, the guys at Blackforest Labs are the original developers of the technology that powers Stable Diffusion and the inventors of latent diffusion.
Flux comes in three variants:
All Flux.1 models are built using a mix of multimodal and parallel diffusion transformer blocks, packing a whopping 12 billion parameters. They outperform previous models by using a training method called flow matching, which simplifies the process while enhancing results.
Additionally, these models are optimized for better performance and efficiency with advanced features like rotary positional embeddings and parallel attention layers.
Flow is part of Creative Fabrica’s creative platform called Studio, a graphic tool that competes with Canva. It’s a free AI image generator that helps users generate unique and high-quality image assets. Image assets include custom graphics, transparent PNGs, and patterns.
One of the standout features of Flow is its ability to let you refine your creations continuously until you achieve the desired result. You can build on your previous outputs by selecting them to add to your prompt, generating new and exciting images based on your original image.
Starting today, you can try Flux AI for free in CF Studio with the flow tool. With the added support for these new image models, Flow is now much more powerful and can generate images that are on par with Midjourney or OpenAI’s Dall-E 3.
To get started, head over to Creative Fabrica’s Flow dashboard.
The user interface is simple and intuitive. On the left side, you’ll see a history of your AI-generated images. On the right side are examples of images generated by the community. All your new generations will be displayed in the center.
Let’s try to generate an image with the following prompt:
Prompt: A cute baby puppy
Each generation will create four variations of the result. Feel free to play around with your prompt to achieve the type of image you want to create.
You can also adjust the image type among the following:
There’s also an option to change the style of the output image. You can switch between Photorealistic image, 3D Style, Cartoon, etc.
One cool trick you can do with Flow is easily export the generated image to a design file in Studio. When you hover over an image, you’ll see an “Add to Design” button.
The image will be placed in the upload folder inside Studio.
When you go to the Studio dashboard, you’ll see the uploaded images in the “Flow” folder.
Awesome! This integration is all about convenience. It streamlines your workflow, eliminating the need for tedious downloads and uploads.

The integration of Flux with the Flow tool in Studio makes advanced AI image generation accessible to everyone.
Since Flux is an open-weight model, any platform, including Flow, can easily integrate it, giving it a significant advantage over closed-source tools like Midjourney. This makes Flow a standout choice for anyone looking to create top-tier designs without the cost.
Another reason Flow is important is its seamless integration with Studio. Much like Canva, Studio allows users to create designs, but with the added benefit of free AI-generated images from Flow.
One of the most appealing aspects of CF Spark Flow is the freedom it offers. You can use the images you create for commercial purposes, which is a big deal for small businesses, freelancers, and content creators who often face limitations with other platforms.
However, as with any tool, it’s essential to review the terms and conditions to ensure you’re using the images within the guidelines.
Creative Fabrica is not the first platform to integrate Flux models, but it’s one of the first few. I am amazed by how fast they were able to do it and manage to keep the workflow fast and smooth.
The image results are also incredibly good, despite the service being free. I am guessing they are using the Snell model because of its speed and quality. Not many platforms are offering free image generation, so I highly recommend playing with Flow.
In the coming months, I expect Creative Fabrica to add the more powerful models, Dev or Pro, to the Flow tool. Even if they limit the number of images that a user can generate for free, it would still be an excellent decision to draw in more users to the platform.
