Generate awesome looking logos using these five AI tools in 2024.
Over the past few months, AI image generators have received massive upgrades in terms of quality and prompt coherence. Some of the biggest platforms, like Midjourney, OpenAI, and Google have released brand-new image models that are far more capable than their predecessors.
These image generator tools can produce results for various use cases. You can use them to create realistic photos, illustrations, digital paintings, and logos.
In this guide, I’ll focus on logo generation and share a list of my personal favorite platforms.
Feel free to suggest other tools that aren’t on the list but you think are worth mentioning.
Let’s get started.
Fiverr, the popular online marketplace for freelance services, is also now equipped with AI tools like a logo generator. If you don’t want to let freelancers do the job, you can just do it yourself using AI.
Under the Graphics & Design tab, select the Logo Maker Tool.
You will be redirected to the logo maker dashboard. Input your brand name and click on the “Make Your Logo” button.
There will be four steps in creating the logo. First, add the brand name and the slogan then click on the next button.
The next step is to select an industry and add an optional element like ‘sun’ to guide the AI what you want to see in the final result.
You can also choose from a premade set of styles, like below.
Finally, create your brand’s personality by setting some parameters like modern or classic, fun or serious, etc. Once done, click on “Make My Logo” to start the logo generation.
Here’s what the final set of logos look like:
There will be 10 set logos with varying colors to choose from. Additionally, Fiverr will give you a set of images that shows a preview of what your logo will look like on various places and materials.
You can also explore other designs generated by other users.
Midjourney is one of the original AI image generation platforms beloved by the AI community. I was an early adopter and have seen firsthand how well it generates logos for products, brands, and companies.
To get started with Midjourney, head over to their website and sign up with either your Discord or Google account.
Once you’re in, you can immediately start describing the logo you’re trying to make. The only limit is your imagination—and maybe the character count.
Here’s an example:
Prompt: A minimalist logo with a lowercase sans-serif font, the brand name ‘NeonTech’ in soft pastel colors, paired with a subtle geometric icon on the side, designed with simplicity and elegance in mind.
Awesome! I love how the image captures what the prompt is asking for. Perhaps the font could be improved.
Another big player in the field of AI image generators is OpenAI’s Dell-E 3, which is now embedded into ChatGPT.
To generate a logo, you simply have to describe the image to ChatGPT. It’s smart enough to know whether you’re intending to generate an image or not.
Check out the example below:
Prompt: A corporate-style logo with the brand name “Apex Financial” in bold, uppercase letters. The logo includes a stylized upward arrow symbol, using blue and gray tones for a professional and trustworthy look.
The image generation is also really fast, even faster than Midjourney. Here are the sample results:
Dall-E 3 generates sleek, polished logos that could easily pass as the work of a professional designer. It’s also faster than Midjourney in terms of image generation speed.
However, like Midjourney, Dall-E 3 can struggle with typography. I recommend adding text in Illustrator or Photoshop for the best results.
One downside to generating images in ChatGPT is the lack of a dedicated image gallery. You’ll need to scroll through your chat history to find past images, which can be a hassle.
Google released Imagen 3 a couple of weeks ago. One of the main focuses of this updated image model is its significantly improved ability to understand prompts. This enhancement allows the model to generate a wide range of visual styles and capture small details from longer, more complex prompts.
To generate logos with Imagen 3, head over to Google’s Gemini chatbot, login with your Google account, and start typing the description of your logo.
Here’s an example prompt:
Prompt: A colorful, playful logo design for a children’s toy brand, featuring rounded, cartoon-like characters or animals. Bright, cheerful colors like yellow, red, and blue are used, with no text.
Aren’t they adorable? These logos are perfect for a brand aimed at children.
Note: When generating images on Gemini, make sure to set the language model to Gemini Advanced.
Flux Labs AI transforms the basic photos of your products into high-quality images that are perfect for marketing campaigns or advertising. Your product can be placed in any subject or environment with an incredible level of consistency and photorealism.
To generate logos, sign up for a free account on Flux Labs AI. Under the AI Tools menu, select “Image Generator,” describe your logo, and click “Generate.”
Prompt: An elegant logo for a luxury fashion brand, featuring the name ‘Luxe’ in a cursive font. The logo includes a gold foil effect, with delicate floral accents and a regal, sophisticated appearance.
These are some of the most stunning examples in this article. The font, colors, and style harmonize beautifully, making the logo feel both luxurious and professional.
Freepik is a platform that offers a large library of graphic assets for designers, including images, illustrations, vectors, icons, and videos. They also offer AI tools that let you generate and edit images using some of the most powerful image models on the market today.
To start generating images, head over to Freepik’s website and sign up or log into your account. Once you’re in the dashboard, navigate to the “Generate Images” section under the Create and Edit Images tab.
Prompt: A detailed, complex logo with intricate geometric patterns surrounding the brand name ‘Symmetry Solutions.’ The design incorporates shades of purple, teal, and gold, giving it a high-tech yet artistic vibe.
Freepik delivers high-quality logos, though like other platforms, it struggles with rendering text. Nevertheless, the overall quality is impressive.
I’ve been keeping an eye on AI logo generators for the past five years, and I can confidently recommend the platforms listed above. If you ask me which one’s the best tool to generate logos, I would pick Fiverr’s AI Logo Maker.
If you’re on a budget, I suggest starting with Dall-E 3, as it offers daily free image generations. However, if you already have a logo and want to reimagine it in various styles, Flux Labs AI’s image training feature is a fantastic way to generate brand assets with ease.
Of course, many would argue that hiring a human logo designer is still the best option. I agree — the artistry and creativity that human designers bring to their work is unmatched by AI.
However, this guide is for those looking for a quick, cost-effective solution. AI is just another tool at your disposal. If you’re not a fan of AI-generated logos, you’re always free to pass on it.
That’s it for my list of top AI logo generators. I hope you found it helpful! If you know of any other platforms worth mentioning, feel free to share them in the comments.
